Terms of service
These terms apply when you use CueCut at getcuecut.com. CueCut is made by Kingsbridge Consultancy LLC, a company based in Texas, United States ("we", "us"). By using CueCut or buying a plan, you agree to these terms.
1. Using CueCut
CueCut runs in your web browser. You can use it for free, with limits: recordings and exports up to 15 minutes, Live sessions up to 30 minutes at a time, podcasts with two people, a small "Made with CueCut" mark on exported videos, and no virtual backgrounds. Paid plans remove some or all of these limits, as described in the app when you buy.
2. Plans and payment
- Pro and Studio are one-time payments in US dollars. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
- "Lifetime" means for as long as we offer CueCut, including the updates we release.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Prices may include or add sales tax or VAT, depending on where you live.
- A plan is for you personally. It switches on in your browsers by a link sent to the email you paid with; please don't share those links.
- For a podcast, only the host needs Studio. Guests join free.
- Prices, including launch offers, may change, but never for a purchase you've already made.
3. Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying — see the refund policy.
4. Your recordings and scripts
- What you record and write is yours. CueCut keeps it in your browser (and in a folder you choose, if you choose one). It isn't uploaded to us, except that in a podcast each guest's recording is sent through our relay straight to the host, without being stored.
- Because your work stays on your computer, keeping copies is up to you. Clearing your browser's data deletes takes saved in it. Please export or save to a folder anything you want to keep.
- You're responsible for what you record and publish, and for having the consent of everyone you record.
5. Fair use
Don't use CueCut to break the law, to record people without their permission, to harm or harass anyone, or to attack, overload or copy our services. Don't try to get around plan limits or the watermark. We may switch off access for anyone who does.
6. Availability
We work hard to keep CueCut running well, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, or work in every browser and on every device. Features may change over time. Some features depend on your browser: for example, in Chrome and Edge, speech recognition is provided by the browser maker.
7. No warranty; limit of liability
CueCut is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost recordings, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for CueCut.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so in the app. The date at the top shows the latest version.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without affecting rights you have under the consumer laws of the place you live.
